Get Downward Reebok Tank

Getting Downward And Onward With Yoga

Have you ever thought “if only I had better _____, I would totally _____ everyday”? That was my typical excuse for putting off my yoga practice. I had an old crummy mat, classes that never worked with my schedule, and beyond old t-shirts and leggings as yoga clothes. Obviously,  yoga focuses much more on the spiritual than the material, but I hadn’t quite reached that level yet. I needed to feel comfortable and the tattered mat and clothes had to go. I searched long and hard for the best yoga mat, and ended up with the Manduka PROlite in Thyme. To solve class conflicts, I decided to try different classes of yoga and invested in The Ultimate Yogi, a 108 day program by Travis Eliot. I’m really excited to start the journey since I’ve heard great things about it! The program is said to be the “yoga version” of PX90. As for clothes, I’m totally in love with the Reebok yoga line designed by Tara Stiles. So. Cute. I’d been following her for the past couple …

Isabel Marant Sumac Jacket

Friday Five

1. Isabel Marant Sumac I’ve found my perfect spring jacket! Initially I was a little bit hesitant about the style, but the fit is beautiful. I ordered a size up as recommended by others and it’s perfect – still fitted but loose enough to layer over a light sweater. The jacket is also available in red and blue, but I went with the “safer” option of black to match more of my wardrobe. If you’re interested in the black, I recommend calling the SOHO boutique (212-219-2284) as that’s the only place I found it still available. I think I’m a little in love with this print? Paired here with the Salome skirt in red. 2. Tibetan Shawl So warm, so soft, so cozy…ahhh. There’s a shop in Laguna Beach called Tibet Handicrafts that sells very unique merchandise from Tibet, Nepal, India, and Himilaya. My mom and I were there visiting the owner, and I snatched up this incredibly soft shawl made of yak wool. I have to say it’s the softest and warmest shawl/scarf I own. 3. …

The Perks Of A Pet

My little Nima has certainly made my life happier and healthier! I’ve always felt pets just knew how and when to make things better. Masters in Health Care hit this one right on! :) Always love and cherish your furry family members. They do much much more than the eye can see! :)

Flower Boy Next Door K-drama

Friday Five

1. Flower Boy Next Door  I’ve started back on K-dramas again! This time I decided to go with “Flower Boy Next Door.” I was a little hesitant about this one at first, but I absolutely adore it. It’s a quirky and fun way to relax and de-stress after a long day. 2. ManiaMania Icon Ring – Silver & Amazonite New addition to my collection of ridiculously large rings! This is such an inspiration piece. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw  the ManiaMania collection photos last month. The ring runs a little large on me (sadface) so I wear it with one of my Iosselliani rings to keep it from flying off. 3. Synergy Kombucha  This one is definitely an acquired taste. Kombucha is basically fermented tea, but Synergy takes it a step further with their addition of other healthy ingredients and flavors to make it more bearable. My first taste test came on a little strong, but I’ve grown to love it. My favorite is their “Cherry Chia.” 4. Fujifilm …

Rag & Bone Skinny in Clay

Friday Five

1. Rag & Bone Skinny Jeans in Clay I’m pretty sure I heard Etta James’ “At Last” when I saw these. :P I absolutely love the brick red and it’s perfect for the holidays. Find it here! * 2. Swarovski Erika China Pendant Birthday present from mama! Isn’t she cute?! Swarovski themed their Eliot/Erika special edition collection “Around the World” this time. Available at Swarovski. LOVE the UK one too! 3. Sterling Silver Casted Pine Cone Earrings I didn’t even know there were pine cones this size! A friend from my jewelry class casted these mini pine cones and made them into earrings…and I had to have them. Just in time for the holiday season! Check out her other work here. 4. Painting by Pernille Damgaard My beautiful and talented friend painted and gifted me this work of art last week. 5. Sandro Albatorock Studded Sneakers They’re sneakers with studs, need I say more? I’m wearing these puppies out.   * – affiliate link included in post

Sonny Angel Kewpie Figures

The Friday Five

Happy Friday everyone! Starting today, I’ll be posting five things or events that I appreciate during the week, every Friday. It’s always nice to end the week on a positive note, don’t you think? :) So here we go… #1. Sonny Angel Kewpie Figures I’ve been eyeing these cuties for a long time! They’re mostly sold in blindboxes or sets (which can get super pricey), but I managed to find a site that opens and sells them separately. Score! If any of you are interested, you can find them at Sausalito Ferry, they’ve got some amazing Japanese imports. #2. Rilakkuma  My newest obsession as of late: Rilakkuma. Need I say more? ;) I went a little crazy on the stationary this time. Happy stationary = happy work time…maybe? #3. iPhone 5 I finally got my hands on it, and I couldn’t be happier.  It’s light, fast, and best of all, I can take panoramic pictures! Watch out for those soon. ^^ #4. Free People 2012 Holiday Stockings How amazing are these stockings?! The details are absolutely …

Through Instagram

First: I must apologize for the absence on here! These past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. The boyfriend, JTyson, made his biannual treck across the Atlantic to see me for three weeks. It was burning hot (think 106+ degree weather), but we managed to get as much as we could done. Disneyland, LACMA, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, good eats, and – of course – shopping. It’s always a bittersweet feeling when he has to leave, but time flies and I know it won’t be long before more adventures ensue! Last Sunday was also the  Moon Festival (or Mid-Autumn) holiday in Asia, where families gather to eat mooncakes, drink tea, burn incense, and play games. In my case, I got to have a lovely dinner with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. My dad was also here visiting from Taiwan, so needless to say, I’ve had a very eventful couple of weeks! Regular blogging will be taking place very soon once I get everything settled and sorted. In the meantime, follow me on Instagram @niniloves …
